Win attended Mankato Senior High School, Graduate of the University of Minnesota.

Coached football at:
•    Fergus Falls, Minnesota 1932-33,
•    Fairbault, Minnesota 1934-36,
•    Wausau, Wisconsin from 1937-70.

At Wausau Win's teams won 25 championships, which included 13 undefeated seasons. His Wausau teams were ranked number 1 in the State three times. A state record was also set with 46 game winning streak. Six years without a defeat earned Wausau the Helms Award of California for outstanding record of no defeats in 46 games, 1940 thru 1946.

During his 34 years at Wausau Win's teams had a winning percentage of .874. Win was winner of the H.P.E.R. and Pepsi award for Coach of the Year in 1964. While at Fairbault, Minnesota he coached Bruce Smith All-American in 1942 and Heisman Trophy Winner. At Wausau he coached Elroy Hirsch and Jim Otto both Hall of Fame members at Canton, Ohio.

Win coached basketball from 1937 to 1954 and they won the State Championship in 1938 and were the runner up team in 1939. He also coached track, boxing, wrestling, tennis, and golf.
