Jim Richardson - Milwaukee Tech

Attended Boys' Tech in Milwaukee Graduate of Marquette University

Coached high school football at Milwaukee Tech for 27 years where his teams compiled a record of 174 wins, 40 losses, and 5 ties.

Jim coached his teams to 12 city championships, beginning with the 1952 championship that was the first in the history of Milwaukee Trade and Technical High School. Other championships were won in 1954, 1957,1959, 1960, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1969, 1972, and 1974.

In addition to the 12 championships, he also won two divisional championships in 1973 and 1975 losing the city championship play-off game. Jim had a winning percentage of almost 80%, and he won the championship in football 44% of the time. Only once did he go three years without winning a city football championship that was in the years 1961, 1962, and 1963. However, in 1962, his baseball team won the city championship.

At Marquette University Jim was Co-captain and honorable mention All-American his senior year. An All-City Running Back in 1937 to City Conference Coach of the Year in 1960. He received the M Club Football Coach of the Year award in 1959. His team was ranked number one in the state in 1967.
