Graduated from Boys Tech, 1958, Bachelor of Education, 1963, UW-Whitewater, Master of Educational Psychology, 1973, UW- Whitewater

 Jerry participated in football, basketball and baseball in high school and football and baseball while in college.

He began his football coaching career at St. Catherine's High School, Racine, in 1963, followed by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (1964-70), West Division High School, Milwaukee (1970-82), Arrowhead High School, Hartland (1982-85), and finally John Marshall High School, Milwaukee (1985-99).

His coaching career also included coaching wrestling at John Marshall High School from 1985-99, where his team was Conference Champs in 1994, 1996, and 1997.

Jerry's record was 106-106 overall, with an 82-46 record at John Marshall High School. At John Marshall he had five Conference Champs (1989,1990, 1991, 1992, 1994) and his teams participated in the state playoffs seven times.

Jerry belongs to the following organizations: Wisconsin Football Coaches Association, American Football Coaches Association, and St. Joseph's in Waukesha.

Jerry was the Conference Coach of the Year in 1994, and Guidance Counselor of the Year in 1995.
