After many months of off-season work, pre-season planning, and grueling two-a-days, the 2012 football season is almost upon us. As we get ready for the season to start, we'd like to pass along some information for the 2012 season.

 

WisSports.net has formed a partnership with the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association making the WSN site the official stats resource for the association. The WFCA will be using the WSN stats database for All-Region & All-State nominations. These will no longer have stat fields on the nomination forms but all of that data will be pulled from the WSN database.

 

Most coaches find it easiest to keep up with stats during the year, entering information either immediately after the game or over the weekend.  Furthermore, if you decide to enter in stats after a game or use our Sport Ngin Live stat tracker then you can email it directly to the other media entities in your area after the game.

 

You may also assign a stat keeper or assistant coach to enter in your team stats.

 

However, first and foremost, we need to get your roster in the system.We are happy to do this for you, but please send us your roster as soon as possible if you have not already done so. We are in the process of entering those that have been sent to us over the last few days. Please email your roster to info@wissports.net, Excel or CSV is preferred but we also accept Word or PDF.

 

You now control your team's information by logging in and going directly to your team page on our site.  Once there you should see a yellow and grey switch on the right-hand side of your browser window. If you click this switch the page will go into edit mode.  Edit mode  allows you to edit your team information.  If you do not see the switch while logged in please email us right away and we can grant you access.

With the migration of our member directory into the Ngin system, some usernames may have changed (if they had a special character, space, was already in the Ngin database, etc.). For an FAQ on the subject, click here. You may need to reset your password (select "Forgot Your Password?" from the login screen).

An exciting enhancement to our system this year as part of the switch to the Ngin platform is a Live Stats capability for football. This will allow you or your staff/statistician to enter stats live during the game from any computer or tablet with an internet browser. The interface is very intuitive and easy to use, and there will be a demo of the system on Friday at 10 am. Please visit here and scroll to the bottom of the page for more info and to sign up.
