WFCA Radio Show - August 2nd

For the first time, the WFCA will be producing a WFCA Coaches Radio Show beginning in 2014 on Sports Radio 1250 WSSP in Milwaukee. The show will be ho-hosted by WSSP's Mike McGivern and Tom Swittel, head coach at Brookfield East and WFCA Past President.

The show will be broadcast live on WSSP from 10 am to noon on the first Saturday of the month from April to August, starting Saturday, April 5th. The show will be broadcast live on the WSSP website during those times as well, and available to listen later on the Podcast page. From September through March, the show will be available on a podcast-basis only.

This month's show focused on a preview of the upcoming season and the Recruiting process.

Topics and guests for the August 2nd show included:

Segments 1 and 2 (10;00 and 10:15 am) - Jovan Dewitt, Outside LBs/Special Teams Coordinator for the United States Military Academy/Army.  Jovan has been a recruiting coordinator, is from the state, and has recruited the state extensively for Army and the other schools he has coached at.
 
Segment 3 (10:30 am) - Brian Hoffman, Director of Guidance at Wauwatosa West High School.  Brian will fill us in on the academic requirements needed to be eligible to play in college and the NCAA Clearinghouse.
 
Segments 4 and 5 (10:45 and 11:00 am) - Dave Keel, Head Football Coach at Homestead High School.  Dave will talk about the coach's role in recruiting.
 
Segment 6 (11:15 am) - Mark Stewart, Preps Editor - Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel.  Mark will fill us in on who will be the Top Teams in the state in 2014.
 
Segments 7 and 8 (11:30 and 11:45 am) - Travis Wilson, Football Editor - Wissports.Net (WSN).  Travis will cover the pre-season Top Players to Watch in the state.
