Whitefish Bay High School will host a fundraising event in honor of former Blue Dukes football coach Jim Tietjen on May 21st. The fundraiser will include a touch football tournament, raffle, cookout, and silent auction.

Coach Tietjen passed away last year after battling brain cancer. He coached for 37 years, including 14 years as the head coach at Whitefish Bay, earning induction in the WFCA Hall of Fame in 2014.

Proceeds from the event will go towards brain cancer research at the Wisconsin Medical College in Milwaukee. Donations can also be made online via the PayTrace website. In the field marked “Tribute Name & Acknowledge Info" please write “Coach Tietjen” so the Medical College of Wisconsin will know it is for the TietjStrong Fundraiser and the funds should be directed to brain cancer research.
