Tony DiSalvo, Saint Croix Central

Tony was born in Hudson, Wisconsin, on October 1, 1961, to Anthony (Bucky) and Beverly DiSalvo. He graduated from Cumberland High School, Cumberland, Wisconsin, in 1980 where he played football, hockey, and ran track.  He was an All State Running Back and played in the Wisconsin Football Shrine Bowl in 1980.

Tony continued playing football at the collegiate level, first at UW- Eau Claire where he lettered his freshman year before transferring to UW-RF where he continued to play football and earned a varsity letter there.

Upon graduation from University of WI - River Falls, DiSalvo began his head coaching career in Spring Valley, WI, as the head varsity football coach as well as assistant coach to boys basketball and junior track and field coach.    He coached in Spring Valley for 3 years before transferring to St. Croix Central Schools in Hammond, WI.  

He coached football as an assistant for 10 years, he was the  head varsity track coach for 7 years and a middle school track coach for 23 years, he also coached middle school boys basketball for 10 years as well as refereeing for 30 plus years.  He became the varsity head football coach at SCC for 20 years where he led them to 3 state appearances. Winning a State title in 2016, state runner up in 2017 and 2018.  He won 4 conference championships at St. Croix Central as well as earning 17 playoff appearances.  His  head coaching record at St. Croix Central  and Spring Valley was 155-85.  In his final years as head football coach at St. Croix Central his record was 56-9.

Tony was named district coach of the year in football 3 years, conference coach of the year 4 years, Packers Football Coach of the week, and named Head Coach of the WFCA All Star Game in 2018, and assistant All Star Coach in 2017.  He coached numerous all conference, all district, and all state football players throughout his career.  Tony started coaching at SCC with 29 players and built the program to 79 players in 2016.  He also started the SCC Football Booster club along with numerous  SCC fund raising events to offset the budget costs for the school district.
