Tim Eastlick was born in Cuba City, WI on February 21, 1968, to Rod and Fran Eastlick. He graduated from Cuba City HS in 1986. He earned 10 letters in football, track and field, baseball, and basketball. Tim had the privilege of being coached by WFCA Hall of Famer Jim Meckstroth in football and WFCA Hall of Famer John Doyle in track and field. He earned all-conference in football and baseball and qualified for state track and field in the shot put. Tim attended UW Oshkosh and was a member of the Titan football team in 1986, earning a degree in elementary education in 1993.
In August of 1993, Tim began his teaching career in the Berlin School District as a 4th grade teacher. During these five years, he coached football, boys and girls basketball, and track and field at the middle school level. In 1995 Tim married Gina Schiffman. In 1997 they welcomed their first child, Cole.
In August of 1998, he accepted a 5th grade position in the River Valley School District. In 2000 they welcomed their second child, Jalyn, and he became the defensive coordinator for the varsity, a position he held until accepting the head coaching position in 2003. He coached the throws in track and field for 20 seasons and coached five seasons of boys freshman and sophomore level basketball at River Valley HS.
During the next 19 seasons, the Blackhawks qualified for the playoffs 16 times, winning five conference championships. In 2016 River Valley was the WIAA Division 4 state runner-up. In 2019 River Valley advanced to the state semi-finals. Tim was honored as the SWC Coach of the Year, and WFCA District Coach of the Year in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2016, and 2019. He was named the Wisconsin State Journal Coach of the Year in 2016. He was the offensive coordinator for the 2011 WFCA All-Star game. Tim was the SWC representative for WFCA All-Region from 2008-2021. His overall record as head coach was 120-74.
One of the many joys Tim had coaching was having the opportunity to have Cole and Jalyn on the sidelines on Friday nights as water boy/girl and as a ball boy. Tim had the privilege of coaching Cole on the varsity team for three seasons.
Tim would like to thank the first-class players, assistant coaches, administrators, managers, video personnel, ball boys, water boys and girl of the RV Football Program. ”When it is all said and done the relationships and memories that were created with players and coaches matter the most to me.” A special thank you to the many assistant coaches for their dedication to the River Valley football program.
To my wife, Gina, children, Cole and Jalyn, and my entire family. “Without your support and love, none of this would have been possible. You all were the best fans, sounding board, and supporters!”
