I was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, July 10, 1962, to Donald and Carol Jorgensen. My
beautiful wife Kelly and I have been married for 32 years. We have three children; Steven
(Kenzie), Matthew (Rachel), and Drew. They all presently teach and coach. We have also been
blessed with three grandchildren; Nevaeh, Grace, and Natalie.

After earning a bachelor s degree from UW-Oshkosh in 1985 and a masters degree
from Idaho State University in 1988, I embarked on a football coaching career. This included a
WIAA Division 1 title at Oshkosh North High School in 2000 and a pair of Division 2
championships at Kimberly High School in 2007 and 2008. Also, a Division 2 runner-up at
Kimberly in 2009.

As head coach for 20 seasons, I have compiled a 164-58 record at Oshkosh North
(1992-2003), Kimberly (2004-2010), and Fond du Lac (2018). This included winning nine FVA
titles while receiving the league's Coach of the Year Award on eight occasions and State Coach
of the Year in 2000 and 2007.

I was the 1984 recipient of the UW-Oshkosh Taylor Senior Scholar-Athlete Award and
2016 UW-Oshkosh Russ Young Football Leadership & Achievement Award. I was inducted into
the Oshkosh North High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1990 and the UW-Oshkosh Athletic Hall of Fame in 2022.

This honor is shared with so many outstanding people. I’ve coached alongside some of
the finest football coaches in Wisconsin. I can't thank them enough for their service. The players were expected to compete in the classroom and on the field, which they did and I appreciate every one of them. The administrations, trainers, managers, statisticians, film personnel, Pastor John Slotten and FCA leadership team, boosters, and fans all have a significant part in this honor. I would also like to thank the head coaches that allowed me to assist under them. This includes Tom Mettlach (Oshkosh North), who stepped aside when I was ready to become head coach, Gary Westerman (Pulaski), Mike Gnewuch, Steven Jorgensen (Fond du Lac), and Steve Jung (Neenah). I appreciate every one of these fine men.

I am truly humbled by this honor. Thank you to the WFCA Hall of Fame Committee. My
greatest thank you goes to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has blessed me with the best
family, coaching career, and this honor. He receives all the glory. Thank you.
