WFCA Spring Elections information

WFCA Spring Elections are right around the corner.

With all that currently faces high school football in our state, now would be great time to get involved in the decision making process and serve the WFCA in one of the positions up for election. The 2012 Spring Election is for the positions of Northern Vice President, and District Reps for the EVEN numbered districts. All positions are for two year terms. Please refer to the WFCA website to determine what district your school is in.

Responsibilities for the Northern Vice President include:

  • Serve on the Executive Committee
  • Represent all of the Southern and Northern District Representatives and Schools
  • Attend Association meetings
  • Help support the All Star Games and Teams
  • Other duties as needed

 District Rep responsibilities include:

  • Represent 2 to 3 Conferences
  • Attend Association meetings including the All State, Clinic and Summer meetings
  • Make sure the coaches you represent have the proper information for nominating players for All Region, All State, and the All Star Games
  • Conduct All Region meetings and present Region candidates for All State
  • Other Duties as needed

Nomination and Voting Process as Follows:

All Candidates should self-nominate themselves. E-mail your intent to Frank Matrise, WFCA President-Elect, at fmatrise@kusd.edu.

Please provide the following information:

  • Name
  • School
  • WFCA District
  • Position running for
  • Years of membership in the WFCA

Voting:
All voting will be done on the WFCA Website, www.wifca.org.
Members will be informed after the clinic as to voting procedures.

Time-line:
The following time-line will be observed:
Now – April 6: Candidates nominate themselves by e-mailing Frank Matrise the above information.

April 9 – April 16: WFCA members can vote by entering the WFCA website (www.wifca.org) Election link. Please refer to the above voting information to cast your vote(s).

April 18: Election results will be available on the website.
