Jefferson 195154;
Havre, Montana 1955-66; and
Verona 1967-77.
His record was 165 wins, 82 losses and 11 ties, seven championships.
Ralph was a coach for 31 years. His football teams at Havre, Montana won Class A State Championships in 1955, 1959, and 1961. In 1962 they placed second. At Jefferson his 1954 championship team went undefeated with a 9-0 record. At Verona championships were won in 1970 and 1971. Ralph was coach of the year in 1955, 1959, and 1961 in the State of Montana. He also coached basketball for eight years. His 1949 basketball team won the Madison Suburban Championship. In 1961 his Havre, Montana team finished third in the state.
As an athlete, Ralph was voted the outstanding senior athlete in both high school and college. He was captain of the 1947 Carroll College team and is a member of their Hall of Fame.
He has won more football games than any other Carroll College graduate. Ralph retired as a coach in 1977.
