The 2017 WFCA All-Star Games were held Saturday at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh. The South squads took the final two games of the afternoon after the North 8-Man team posted victory in the morning. Full stats and recaps below.

The WFCA All-Star Games serve as a fundraiser for the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. This year's coaches and players raised more than $457,000.

8-Man: North 32, South 20

For a third straight year, the North 8-Man All-Star team claimed victory at the WFCA All-Star Games in Oshkosh by a final score of 32-20. The North squad jumped out to a 24-0 lead after the first quarter, as Siren's Brady Mangen scored a pair of rushing touchdowns, while Jordan Siebert (Prairie Farm) found Austin Hamack (Luck) for another score.

The South side would not go away however, getting a Tyler Flamme (Wisconsin Heights) to Justin Schmiesing (Abundant Life) touchdown pass in the second quarter and Dwayne Balthazor IV (Oakfield) rushing score in the third to claw within a score.

However, Mangen added a third touchdown on the day early in the fourth quarter to provide the North with a cushion, as Flamme capped off the scoring with a short touchdown run.

Mangen finished with 30 carries for 170 yards to go with the three touchdowns, as the North racked up 359 yards on the ground. Schmiesing caught 6 passes for 113 yards for the South squad.

Small Schools: South 25, North 20

Up 20-6 midway through the third quarter, it appeared the North team was headed to a third consecutive victory in the WFCA Small School All-Star Game, but the South came roaring back, scoring the final 19 points of the contest to claim a 25-20 victory at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh.

The South actually got on the board first in the game, as the record-setting Cedar Grove-Belgium duo of quarterback Josh Weiss and receiver Reid Hilbelink hooked up from 28 yards out. Two Rivers' Dawson Kiphart connected with Alec Hafferman of Edgar fro two yards a short time later as the North team went up 7-6. Kiphart would engineer another scoring drive in the final minute of the first half, connecting with Saint Croix Central's Trevor Nelson on a 21-yard scoring pass with 26 seconds remaining.

The South team would fumble the ensuing kickoff, and Grantsburg's Avery Fagerburg was good from 42 yards out as time expired to send the North team to halftime with a 17-6 advantage. He would add a 28-yard field goal midway through the third quarter, but it was the last points the North squad would score.

Arcadia's Derek Haines plunged in from a yard out later in the third quarter, as the South added another touchdown on a 6-yard run from Poynette's Tanner Kerr to pull within 20-19.

Weiss continued his strong afternoon by hooking up with River Valley's Ryan Wickman on an 8-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter to put the South up 25-20, a lead they would not relinquish.

Weiss finished with 214 yards and a pair of touchdowns, completing 15 of 20 passes. Hilbelink hauled in seven passes for 128 yards and a score. Dawson Kiphart and Dawson Davis (Chetek-Weyerhaeuser) combined to complete 26 of 40 passes for 311 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the North team.

Large Schools: South 10, North 0

Both offenses struggled, but the South team claimed a 10-0 victory in the Large School WFCA All-Star Game that was shortened due to severe weather. After Brookfield East's Sam Santiago-Lloyd scored a three-yard touchdown with 31 seconds remaining in the third quarter, the game was delayed 45 minutes due to lightning and heavy rain before it was eventually declared final.

The victory marked the seventh straight win for the South Large School All-Star team, as the North hasn't claimed victory since 2010.

Monona Grove's Collin Larsh made a 21-yard field goal at the 3:03 mark of the first quarter to open the scoring, but the teams struggle to maintain any offensive rhythm the rest of the way. The South team finished with just 56 passes yards while throwing three interceptions, though the ground game behind Santiago-Lloyd and Wisconsin Lutheran's Brian Corbins racked up 101 yards. The North put up just 74 yards of total offense in the game.
