WFCA Grant

WFCA Grant Program

Information on the 2023 WFCA Grant program was sent directly to all head coaches in the state. ONLY the head coach, who must be a WFCA member, shall apply for a WFCA Grant. If you are an athletic director or assistant coach with question on the WFCA Grant program, please contact your school's head coach. If you are a head coach who did not receive the Grant information, please contact Travis Wilson at travis@wissports.net.

Purpose

The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) is offering grants to Wisconsin high school football programs. The purpose of the Grant is to supplement high school football budgets with an emphasis on the health and well-being of the students participating in state high school programs. The WFCA Grant is designed to enhance programs beyond what a typical budget will cover. Elements such as player safety, injury prevention, and concussion protocol are examples of items the WFCA would entertain and apply weight to in determining recipients of a WFCA Grant. Things that the Grant is NOT intended for include: coach’s salaries, equipment reconditioning, and game uniforms, to name a few.

Amount

Grants of up to $3,000 will be awarded yearly with a maximum of $50,000 being awarded in any given year. Grant amounts smaller than $3,000 will also be considered.

Eligibility

ONLY Wisconsin High School Head Coaches may apply for the WFCA Grant. There will be a maximum of 1 application accepted per school, per year. Significance will be applied to schools with a yearly budget or three-year average budget under $3,000. The head coach of the applicant program must be a member of the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association.

If you were awarded a grant in 2022, you are not eligible this year.
